Boutique Health Retreat with Celebrity Status – everyone who comes here is a celebrity but leaves feeling like a fantastic human being.

Trisha prides herself of knowing exactly what her clients need; she has proven that with over 25 years in the health and fitness industry and to back it up she is the published author of the healthy lifestyle series of books too.

Her current clients say that reading her books is like being with her – she has such a way of working with people to get results, her books continue with that energy.

Everyone is a Celebrity here

Everyone is a Celebrity here

Trisha has a most sensitive, people orientated fashion that allows her to get the best out of her clients without the need for beasty type retreats or restrictive diets that no one can follow for longer than a week without feeling in complete denial.

There is obviously a need for a lifestyle change or you would not be calling Trisha – but no one size fits all and Trisha will ensure that you get what you need, delivered in a doable style that will lead to a tailored approach that will enhance your life.

On a retreat with Trisha and her great team you will get more than mind and body cleansing, you will get her signature repair and renew superfoods as part of your eating programme as she knows how important it is to eat the kind of foods that produce enzymes, repair and renew cells and bring about natural healing.

Traditional bootcamps with massive weight loss actually rob the body of muscle tissue, fluids, naturally occurring enzymes and nutrients designed to cause the body to regenerate.  This is very short term weightloss with what could cause the body systems and organs to degenerate and fail.

Trisha takes a whole approach to your life, your physiological body and powerful mind – they are so connected you cannot have mind without body, they cannot exist so why try and separate the two.  Working as a whole ensures that mind and body meet for complete balance in life.

Trisha will take you on a journey that will change the rest of your life – so be prepared and enjoy the ride – it will be worthwhile.

8 Simple Steps To A Better Beach Body This Summer

07.13.09 Posted in News by trishastewart

We are fast approaching the Summer vacation period and I am sure there will be a lot of people thinking about that spare tyre they have around the middle or the bloating that has plagued them all winter but was covered up with layers of clothing.

How would you like to banish the Winter/Spring excess and feel trim, no bloating and improve your skin tone and texture too ?

Here are 8 simple steps you can do easily to help you get that “to die for” beach body.

Step 1

Cut out sugar, that which you add and the sugar in its various forms in cakes, biscuits, chocolate, sweets, puddings, ice cream, dried fruit and so on….

Step 2

Cut out yeast, that which is in bread, rolls, pizza, gravy powders/stock

Do you know that by cutting out those two products from your diet it will cause you to be naturally cutting out convenience foods, takeaways, any junk food sweet or savoury because those two products are in just about everything you eat, every day !

Step 3

Eat plenty of salad and herb leaves, fresh vegetables, whole grains, sprouted lentils and beans, fresh fruit – everything in season and as local as possible and drink lots of spring water

Step 4

Do not add salt, use herbs and spices and seaweeds for flavour – (this will help to reduce water retention)

Step 5

Chew your food- this encourages the release of enzymes in the mouth which help to breakdown foods (starches) before entering the stomach, it also gives your jaw and teeth some exercise and causes you not to eat quite so much.

Step 6

Choose a good quality pro-biotic to encourage the formation of good bacteria in the gut, chances are that your bacteria is overpopulated with the bad guys which will cause bloating.

Step 7

Get out there ! exercise try walking, skipping, running, go to an exercise class, dance class, yoga class – anything that will get the heart rate up which will in turn help with the blood flow through the body systems and organs and it will encourage the release of happy hormones (endorphins) too – a sure winner !

Step 8

Give your skin a good brushing or scrub with a loofah or a good body scrub with some sea salt and oil – this will get rid of any dead cells and allow your skin to breath and renew.

Have a great Summer :)

Gut Integrity and Your Immune System

07.06.09 Posted in News by trishastewart

Immunity and The Digestive System

You will hear that the body digests food matter, this is not correct, it is the micro organisms contained within the body that do the job. The good bacteria and some of the bad guys too.

The body is an environmental package for bacteria to proliferate. The food we consume will determine the kind of bacteria that will grow or be destroyed. A balance of the correct foods, water and heat will keep the acid and alkaline situation balanced so that the digestive system works efficiently without giving its host any problems. The good and bad guys are aided by the body’s own chemicals, fat disolvers and digestive enzymes which they cannot produce, but they are very good in the job they do in there. These microforms are called the friendly bacteria, they multiply through digestion of nutrients. These guys help, along with our enzymes, to breakdown the foods we eat into vitamins, minerals, amino acids (proteins), carbohydrates, fatty acids, etc., this is why when there is poor digestion or gut dysbiosis, this cannot happen, therefore malnutrition and all the symptoms of ill health mentioned earlier would be present.

But what about the bad guys, the unfriendly bacteria, they like the same environment as the good guys but when these unfriendly bacteria breed they cause fermentation or putrefaction which gives off a different chemical composition causing toxins to be present, the bi-product of the bad guys. This is when you get a bloated abdomen and other symptoms such as foggy thinking, spacey heads, headaches, nausea and so on, which will lead on to the other health issues mentioned earlier.

There should be a massive 80% of good bacteria to a 20% of bad for the digestive system to work efficiently. Most people have spent a long time eating the foods which love to increase the bad guys ending up with the balance the other way round.

Which foods cause us to increase the good bacteria ? fresh raw vegetables, fruits in the correct combination, if you refer to my “hunter/gatherer” idea then you will see that our complex digestive system was designed to work with these foods.

Foods that are high in what is termed as simple sugars or fast release carbohydrates which means taken up in the body very quickly i.e. white sugar, honey maltose, lactose etc will encourage fermentation, even some fruits such as melon and bananas and dried fruits will cause fermentation, particularly where there is already a problem with too many of the bad guys (bacteria) The high protein foods such as meat etc will encourage putrefaction. The organisation of food types, if kept simple will assist digestion, the more complex food combining will lead to a massive fight inside the body causing in-digestion. Certain chemical/enzymatic changes take place in the process of digestion, under normal circumstances. Each part of the digestive tract has a job to do in order for delivery of the correct nutrients in their broken down state to be delivered to the necessary systems, if this does not happen you end up with a toxic system due to the bi-products of the waste/purtrefication.

How We Treat

06.10.09 Posted in News by trishastewart

Over the 25 years I have spent working with people to greater levels of fitness, health and wellbeing, I have successfully treated many conditions, symptoms, sickness and disease. In contrast to todays pill popping medicated world, my way of treating people is largely through precise health screening using my BEST (Bio Energetic Stress Test) system, and through nutrition.  Cleansing and nutrition will assist you to greater health. 91198830

The Trisha Stewart Clinic and Retreat is centred on you and your hollistic and natural health and is a hands on resource available in the UK…Trisha says – most of our clients will be eating a regular diet which is high in acid forming foods such as sugar, dairy, alcohol, caffeine, wheat and meat which will create a low alkaline state. The body will then try to make up for this by robbing itself of potassium to alkalise the environment leading to an electrolyte (mineral) imbalance.

This will lead to symptoms such as arthritis, depression and mood swings, osteoporosis, high blood pressure, kidney problems and much more. This regular type of diet will also cause or at the least be contributing to obesity, heart disease, diabetes, gallstones, kidney stones, digestive problems and cancer. (it is now known that diet is linked to the increasing numbers of colorectal cancer in the world)

Depending on the prescription we use for each client and the length of their stay with us we will combine superfoods to provide the full spectrum of nutrition. These may be any or all of the following, chlorella, blue green algae, sprouts and wheatgrass, plus other ingredients, as they help to detox the liver and cleanse the blood. The oxygen, enzyme, chlorophyll rich content of the food and juices gives the body a great kick start to the regeneration process, building the immune system, providing all the nutrition for cell to cell communication. Combating free radicals and so much more.

Please see the various articles on treating diseases in the Category: Treated Conditions.
